Upper East Side Gallery Walk
Join the ADAA and nearly 30 of our member galleries for the ADAA Upper East Side Gallery Walk! Timed in conjunction with The Art Show at the Park Avenue Armory, galleries in the surrounding neighborhood will open their doors to the public from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 6th, for a collaborative gallery walk event showcasing some of the most dynamic exhibitions in New York City this season, free of charge.
Highlights of the Walk Adler Beatty - A presentation of “Sam Nhlengethwa: Jazz and Blues at Night,” a collaboration with Goodman Gallery. Lévy Gorvy - Amy Baumann of Lévy Gorvy will provide a brief introduction to "Mickalene Thomas: Beyond the Pleasure Principle." Menconi + Schoelkopf - "Bluemner and the Critics" will be installed at the gallery, with a joint presentation on view at the Art Show. Franklin Parrasch Gallery - See the final day of Los Angeles-based artist Edith Baumann's first solo exhibition with the gallery. Michael Werner - The Gallery Walk will be the last chance to see "Overpaintings," featuring work by the late Danish artist Per Kirkeby.
Instagram Photo Contest Gallery Walk visitors can enter to win a selection of art books and exhibition catalogues by posting photos of their experience on Instagram and tagging #ADAAGalleryWalk. A winner will be selected from those who visit and tag the most ADAA galleries during the event. To be eligible, you must follow @The_ADAA and post all photos by 12 noon on November 8.
