HEALTH, SAFETY, AND CONDUCT PROTOCOLS FOR VISITORS

Health, Safety, and Conduct Protocols for Visitors

The Art Show organizers are following the most current COVID-19 safety procedures from the State and City of New York and the CDC. Proof of vaccination and face coverings are no longer required to enter the Park Avenue Armory. ALL VISITORS, including staff, purchasers of tickets, VIPs, press, and their guests, AGREE TO the following visitor policies:

All ticket sales are final; tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

• Acknowledge The Art Show's Attendance Waiver.

• Please do not attend The Art Show if you or anyone in your party are feeling ill.

• Check the website prior to arrival for the most up-to-date information and guidance.

• Follow all instructions provided by the fair organizer's on-site staff.

• Visitor behavior determined by on-site staff to be disruptive/dangerous, harassing, and/or verbally abusive can result in the visitor's immediate removal from fair.

Art works cannot be touched by visitors.

• Given the nature of artistic expression, some artworks on view or programming held in conjunction with the fair may contain or refer to sensitive and/or mature content.

• No pets or companion animals are allowed on the floor of the fair, except service dogs for those with disabilities. Fair organizer may ask if the animal is required because of a disability and what work the animal performs. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless the individual’s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal’s safe, effective performance of tasks. Service animals may be required to be carried if doing so does not interfere with their duties.

• Attendance at the fair implies permission for your image to be used for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

• All backpacks, messenger bags, briefcases, satchels larger than 9" x 4" x 12” (21 x 10 x 30 cm), umbrellas and coats must be left at our complimentary coat check. Personal handbags (smaller than the above), delivery packages, and purchases are subject to inspection at any time. Artwork is not permitted into the fair, unless accompanied in and out of fair by a badged exhibitor.

• Personal and non-professional photography is permitted if it is taken with the safety of the artworks in mind and without disrupting the other visitors. Tripods are not allowed on the show floor during public hours.

The Art Show Attendance Waiver

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious, and people can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. It is known that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness, permanent disability, and even death. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people gather. By attending The Art Show you and your guests and/or staff assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of you and/or your child(ren), and/or guests contracting a communicable disease or illness—including, without limitation, exposure to COVID-19 or any other bacteria, virus, or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness, whether that exposure occurs before, during, or after the event, and regardless of how caused or contracted—and you, your heirs, assignees, next of kin, and/or legally appointed or designated representatives hereby waive any and all claims and potential claims against the Art Dealers Association of America, Henry Street Settlement, The Seventh Regiment Armory Conservancy (dba Park Avenue Armory), Sanford L. Smith & Associates, and against any companies or persons affiliated with the Art Dealers Association of America, Henry Street Settlement, The Seventh Regiment Armory Conservancy, and Sanford L. Smith & Associates—relating to such risks, hazards, and dangers. The laws of the State of New York apply to this waiver.

School Group Visitor Protocols

In addition to the above policies.

Group Size & Chaperones

School groups attending The Art Show have a maximum of 12 students per group. For schools attending with more than 12 students, we ask that you divide into smaller groups. Each group of 12 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult chaperone for ages 16 to 18 or 2 adult chaperones per 12 for ages 15 and under. Chaperones must always remain with their groups during the visit and are responsible for their students.

Tickets will be sent via e-mail, in advance, to the chaperone(s) for distribution to the individual students. Schools and/or chaperones are responsible for the printing and physical distribution of tickets. Chaperones must wear visible identification with the name of their school, such as a name tag.

Given the nature of artistic expression, some artworks on view or programming held in conjunction with the fair may contain or refer to sensitive and/or mature content. Chaperones should use discretion for underage students under their care.

Indemnity

Schools are responsible for obtaining the consent of parents or guardians for school group visits and shall indemnify and hold harmless The Art Show, ADAA, Henry Street Settlement, and all third parties connected to The Art Show, for any failure to obtain such consent. Schools are also responsible for instructing students about The Art Show conduct policy. The Art Show and its organizers are not responsible for travel to the fair nor visitor behavior on-site. Schools acknowledge and agree that this disclaimer and indemnification apply to, and are accepted on behalf of, all student group attendees. By using your ticket to The Art Show, you hereby understand and agree to this indemnification and agree to abide by the rules of conduct of school groups:
